Beginners focus on taking command of the instrument through the development of breath control, sound production, aural awareness and physical stamina while building their knowledge of music theory and notation organically.

As students progress their lessons are widened to encompass composition and history in order to inform their interpretation and refine their musical voice.

Lessons for young learners engage with the appropriate key stage and 'in school' learning, making full use of comparative learning techniques to strengthen confidence, overcome challenges and enhance academic success.

Adult learners enjoy the same enhanced learning experience through comparative study driven by their own passions and interests.

All students are encouraged to inform their experience with their own passions and personalities. Students can choose to follow a traditionally 'classical' route structured around the ABRSM syllabus or are invited to take a more holistic approach as suits their own personal preference.
